Word from the Green Hell says Dodge has sent a pair impressive Viper ACRs out on the Nordschleife with the sole intent of beating the recent 7:14 lap time set by the Lexus LFA. And, it is claimed, they have done just that with a best time of 7 minutes 12 seconds.

We’ll have to await video proof and firm details. For now, we’re relying on the word of Marv Spatz, Viper Club of America president.

You may recall the Viper raised the bar back in 2008 when it posted a 7:22 lap time.
